I bought this sight unseen at an auction in New Jersey. Therefore I didn't know a few things 1. his right hand is completely broke off. 2. He is missing a finger on the other hand. Someone took the time to disguise his damage and glued a very elaborate detailed cherrywood flute onto him, so you don't see the damage. It's no different than you fixing or repairing or touching up something you really love. None the less, what I was pleasantly surprised by is the lamp works. It works ! The top light works and the nightlight (bottom) works. The lamp fixings on the top look new. The lamp shade is burgundy. Detailed figurine. Victorian. The bottom is brass. The lamp stands 30" tall with the shade and is 14" wide with the shade on. The base is 11" . It is quite decorative. It is has a two tier base, a 3 turn switch. It is possibly from 1900's to the 1940's. Filigree metal base. Bisque porcelain.
